Strong 8K Login Details Not Valid? Fix “Playlist Not Working” Step by Step
An “invalid details” or “playlist not working” message does not identify one single fault. It can mean the wrong login method, a copied character, an outdated server address, an inactive line, an app problem, or a device-network issue. This checklist helps you isolate the failing layer without exposing your credentials or wiping your TV unnecessarily.
- First identify whether you received an Xtream-style login, a full M3U playlist URL, or another portal format. Do not paste one format into a field meant for another.
- If the same details work on one device but fail on another, the account is probably not the first thing to change. Compare the app, saved data, network and exact entry on the failing device.
- If the login fails in every compatible app and on every tested network, stop guessing. Ask the account issuer to confirm the line status and current authorized server address.
- Never publish a username, password, playlist URL, QR code or portal address in a public support thread. Treat all of them as credentials.
Two recent r/Strong_8K login discussions and a separate “playlist not working” question show the same diagnostic gap: users often know that their subscription should be active, but not whether the failure is in the credentials, app, device or network. Reddit is evidence of the reader question, not proof of a universal fix.
This page complements our Strong 8K installation guide. That guide covers installing and adding a service. This one begins after the player rejects a login or cannot load the playlist.
What does “details not valid” actually tell you?
It tells you only that the player did not complete the requested sign-in or playlist import. The message may be generated before playback begins, so it is different from buffering, a black screen or one broken channel. Start by locating the stage that fails.
Rejected immediately
Focus on login type, server field, spelling, account status and whether the app supports the supplied format.
Playlist loads, nothing plays
The credentials were accepted far enough to populate content. Move to device, network, decoder and service-side playback checks.
Works on one device only
Use the working device as a control. Compare the failing app version, stored data, network and text entry.
The official TiviMate Google Play listing says the player supports M3U, Xtream Codes and Stalker Portal. These are separate input methods. The official Smarters Pro usage guide likewise instructs users to enter information supplied by their content service. A media player does not create or validate a subscription by itself.
A five-minute Strong 8K login troubleshooting sequence
Identify the login format before retyping anything
By the end of this step, you should know which add-playlist option belongs to your credentials.
- If you received three separate values – server address, username and password – select the app’s Xtream-style login option.
- If you received one long address containing query parameters, it may be a complete M3U playlist URL. Use the M3U or playlist-URL option only if the issuer confirms that format.
- If you received a portal address plus a MAC-device workflow, do not convert it into an Xtream login. Use a compatible, authorized portal method.
Verify: the number and type of fields on screen match the information you were issued. Do not invent missing values.
Re-enter the server, username and password exactly
By the end of this step, you will have eliminated common transcription errors without changing the account.
- Delete each saved value instead of editing one character in the middle.
- Copy from the original private message or customer portal. Avoid screenshots because similar characters such as 0/O and 1/l are easy to confuse.
- Remove leading or trailing spaces. Keep uppercase, lowercase, punctuation and port numbers exactly as provided.
- For an Xtream-style login, enter the base server value in the server field. Do not paste a full M3U query string there unless the service’s own instructions explicitly require it.
Verify: compare character counts and the beginning and end of each value privately. Never paste real credentials into a public validator or Reddit comment.
Use one controlled cross-device test
By the end of this step, you should know whether the failure follows the credentials or stays with one device.
- Fully stop playback and close the player on the first device, then try the same authorized details in a second compatible player or on a second device. This prevents a one-connection account from making the comparison misleading.
- Do not change the password, server address, VPN and DNS simultaneously. Change one variable at a time.
- Record the exact result: rejected login, empty playlist, loaded categories, or playback failure.
If it works on a phone but fails on an Android TV box, that result points toward the TV app, its saved state, text entry or network path. It does not prove which of those four is responsible, but it avoids an unnecessary account replacement.
Verify: you can state “fails everywhere” or “fails only on device X” with the same credentials and one controlled comparison.
Check the failing device and network safely
By the end of this step, you will have tested basic Android TV or Google TV conditions without performing a factory reset.
- Confirm the device is connected to the intended Wi-Fi or Ethernet network and that another legitimate streaming app can reach the internet.
- Restart the streaming device and install available app and system updates.
- Temporarily disable a custom VPN or custom DNS only as a comparison, then restore the user’s required privacy configuration after the test.
- If the app remains stuck, note the playlist details privately, then clear the app’s cache. Clear app data only if you are prepared to re-enter saved settings.
Google’s current Google TV troubleshooting sequence recommends checking Wi-Fi, updates and a restart before clearing app data. It also warns that a device replacing DNS can affect connectivity. Google places factory reset last because it erases device data.
Verify: the failing device reaches other services, is updated, has restarted, and produces a recorded result with default network settings.
Ask the issuer to verify the line and authorized endpoint
By the end of this step, the account owner or reseller should have a precise support request instead of “it does not work.”
Send the device model, app name and version, approximate time, the exact error text, whether it works on another device, and whether it fails on a second network. Ask the issuer to confirm:
- the line is active and not expired;
- the username is attached to the expected account;
- the supplied server address is still the authorized endpoint;
- the chosen login format is supported by the selected app;
- the account’s permitted connection count is not being exceeded.
Verify: support can answer from account records without you publishing the password. If the endpoint changed, replace it only with the confirmed value.
Diagnosis table: what your test result means
| Observed result | Most useful next check | What not to assume |
|---|---|---|
| Rejected instantly on every device | Login format, copied characters, expiry and current server address | Do not assume a TV reset will reactivate an account |
| Works on phone, fails on TV box | TV app version, stored app data, keyboard entry and TV network | Do not immediately replace working credentials |
| Categories load after a fresh playlist refresh, but streams fail | Network path, playback engine, connection limit and service status | Old cached categories alone do not prove a new login succeeded |
| Works on hotspot, fails on home network | Router, DNS, filtering and ISP path, tested within local rules | Do not claim the provider is down for everyone |
| Fails after a confirmed server change | Remove the old playlist and add the verified new endpoint carefully | Do not use server addresses copied from strangers |
Security note: a playlist URL can contain the username and password inside the address. Treat the whole URL like a password. Blur it in screenshots, avoid public link-checking tools, and rotate credentials through the issuer if they were exposed.
Common fixes that can make the problem worse
Trying random URLs from comments
A server address is part of an account configuration, not a generic public replacement. An unrelated endpoint may fail, expose the login, or send credentials to an untrusted system. Use only the value confirmed by the account issuer.
Clearing data before recording settings
Clear data can remove saved playlists and app preferences. Take a private note of the login method and non-secret configuration first. Do not store passwords in an unprotected screenshot gallery.
Changing five variables at once
If you change app, VPN, DNS, URL and password together, a successful test will not show what fixed the issue. Controlled troubleshooting uses one change, one test and one recorded outcome.
Calling every playback issue a login issue
If channels and categories already load, the player accepted enough information to retrieve the playlist. Use the relevant branch instead. For guide-data failures, see our separate Strong 8K EPG troubleshooting guide. For a reseller-domain failure, use the custom-domain and Cloudflare 1016 checklist.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the same login work on my phone but not my Android TV box?
The successful phone test suggests the credentials can authenticate in at least one environment. Compare app version, login method, text entry, saved app data and network on the TV box. It does not automatically prove that the TV’s ISP path or the app is at fault.
Should I add /get.php or a playlist query to the server field?
Only if the service’s documented setup requires that exact format. Xtream-style forms normally separate the server, username and password, while an M3U option accepts a complete playlist URL. Do not reconstruct a private URL from examples found online.
Will clearing the app cache delete my playlist?
Cache and app data are separate controls on many Android-based devices. Google’s Google TV video troubleshooting page lists clearing an app’s cache as a playback step, while its broader device guide uses clear data later in the sequence. Menus and effects vary by device and app, so read the confirmation screen and record the configuration privately before continuing.
Should I use a VPN when the login says invalid?
A VPN is a diagnostic variable, not a universal fix. Compare with and without it only where lawful and compatible with your service terms. If the same credentials fail everywhere, ask the issuer to verify the account and endpoint rather than repeatedly changing VPN locations.
Can a reseller fix this without seeing my password?
An authorized reseller can usually verify expiry, line status, connection limits and the currently issued endpoint from the panel record. If a password must be reissued, use the reseller’s private support channel, never a public forum.
